Copyright notice

Send notices to legal@makespend.com with your contact information, identification of the copyrighted work, the exact MakeSpend location, a good-faith statement that use is unauthorized, an accuracy and authority statement under penalty of perjury, and a physical or electronic signature. We may forward the notice to the uploader.

Counter-notice

A removed user may send a counter-notice identifying the removed material, stating under penalty of perjury that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, consenting to the legally required court jurisdiction, accepting service of process, and providing a signature and contact information. Material may be restored when legally permitted if the claimant does not timely seek a court order.

Repeat infringement and trademarks

We may terminate repeat infringers and act against clear infringement even without a formal notice. Trademark, counterfeit, impersonation, or rights-of-publicity complaints should identify the right, registration where applicable, confusing use, exact location, and requested action. Knowingly false claims may create liability.

Launch requirement

A legal business name, mailing address, and designated copyright agent registration and contact must be completed before relying on a formal U.S. DMCA safe-harbor process.
